I think that my great grandmother might have been a relative of Deke Slayton. Years ago when we were going thru some of her old pictures, we found a school picture of him and then there were several newspaper clippings about his achievements. My grandmother has passed away so I can not ask her but I am trying to find out if there is a relation and what it might have been. My great grandmother’s name was Harriet Alice Slayton and she married Robert Chesterfield Johnston. Do you know if Charles had any sisters?
