I know. This is what I have been up against and part of why I am so curious about it. If, in 1929 when he was married, he listed R.L. Slemp, can we not find a man by that name? Interesting to know that there was only one that attended VMI. Like I said, my aunt may have embellished a bit. Do you know about the one in Gainsville, TX?
