PETER SLIM and CHRISTIANNA HOUSEMAN came to this country from Germany and were married here after working a year to pay their passage.

They had six children, three sons and three daughters.

Wife, CHRISTIAN, bed and bedding, walnut breakfast and tea tables, small pine table, case of low drawers, 6 Windsor chairs, 2 arm chairs, stool, 8-day clock, small looking glass, iron pot, large brass kettle, cups and saucers, 6 pewter plates, pewter knives and forks, earthen and wooden ware, and irons, shovel and tongs, use of two rooms, and household privileges, horse, cow, firewood; also profits of my three houses (No. 1 in Moorestown, No. 2 where my son, PETER, now dwells, and No. 3, purchased of WILLIAM JONES) for life; also $400 from personal estate, all in lieu of dower. Three daughters, REBECCA VENABLE, CATHERINE (wife of EMANUEL BEAGARY) and MIRIAM (wife of JOSIAH LIPPINCOTT) all land (or money from sale thereof)
On Burlington road; also woodland purchased from FRANCIS FRENCH. Son, SAMUEL (after death of my wife), real estate and appurtenances purchased of RICHARD LIPPINCOTT and MAHLON GASKILL; also real estate purchased from said GASKILL, he paying to my granddaughters, ELIABETH and MIRIAM SLIM, $200. Son, PETER, all real estate purchased of JOHN STONE; also lot purchased of WM. JONES, he having possession after death of my wife, and he is to pay to his sister, REBECCA VENABLE, $200, for services rendered my family; also a lot of cedar swamp in Gloucester County. Grandson, CHRISTOPHER SLIM, house and lot purchased of WM. JONES in Moorestown. Residue of personal estate to be sold and proceeds divided between three daughters. Executors - son, PETER SLIM, son-in-law, EMANUEL BEAGARY.

PETER SHINN, dec'd, having made a will dated 23 March 1811. In Chester, along the Burlington Road. SHINN had devised equally to his three daughters: REBECCA (SHINN) VENABLE, CATHERINA (SHINN) the wife of EMANUEL BEAGARY & MERAIM (SHINN) the wife of JOSIAH LIPPINCOTT. Land had come to PETER SHINN from JOSIAH, STACY & ELIZABETH LIPPINCOTT, 3rd October 1796, and the woodlands from FRANCIS FRENCH and his wife ELIZABETH 25th March 1799. 543 of the clerk's office of the county of Burlington at Mount Holly. /s/ illegible.

These are to certify That Whereas PETER SLIM late of the County of Burlington, and state of New Jersey, Yeoman dec. was in his life time and at the time of his decease lawfully seized of and in sundry tracts or lots of land situate in the Township of Chester in the County of Burlington aforesaid, on of them situate and adjoining to the Burlington road on the Southerly side thereof containing twenty acres and thirty seven (looks like ponches) of land more or less as by deed duly executed under the hands and seals of JONAH LIPPINCOTT, STACY LIPPINCOTT, and ELIZABETH LIPPINCOTT bearing date on or about the third day of the tenth month Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and ninety six (Oct. 3, 1796) Reference thereunto being had will more fully and at large appear. Also one other lot or piece and parcel of land called Woodland (two illegible words)
In the township aforesaid adjoining lands of DOCTOR JOHN H. STOKES, CHAS. FIRST and others containing about seven acres one rood and fourteen perches (?) of land move on by as by Deed duly executed under the hands and (?) of FRANCIS FRENCH and ELIZABETH his wife bearing date on or about the twenty fifth day of March Anno Domini: One thousand seven hundred and ninety nine reference being thereunto had may appear: And whereas the said deceased being so thereof seized departed this life first making his last will and testament in writing bearing date the twenty third day of the third month Anno Domini One thousand eight hundred and Eleven wherein he devised all the aforesaid two lots or pieces and parcels of land and Premises, or the monies arising from the dates thereof, in an equal division unto his three daughters namely REBECCA VENABLE, CATHARINE the wife of EMANUEL BEAGARY, and MERIAM the wife of JOSIAH LIPPINCOTT, to them their heirs and (lifsigns?) forever. The division or sales to be at their own option as by Reference being had to said Will will appear - AND WHEREAS the said REBECCA VENABLE and CATHARINE the wife of EMANUEL BEAGARY and MERIAM the wife of JOSIAH LIPPINCOTT did by the approbation and comment of the said husbands EMANUEL BEAGARY, and JOSIAH LIP

mutually agree to make partition and Division of the said two tracts, lots or pieces and parcels of land aforesaid agreeably to the value thereof, and by the assistance of JOHN BAXTER, Deputy Surveyor, we have made partition and Division of the first mentioned lot situated on the Burlington road and the same is divided and allotted and numbered as follows viz.
N..1., Bounded as follows BEGINNING at a stone standing in a white oak stump, in the line of SAMUEL SHUTES land, and corner to ABRAHAM LIPPINCOTT, lane, and runs thence by said LIPPINCOTT land, North twenty seven degrees East, nine chains and three links, to a stone in the Burlington road, thence along said road South fifty eight degrees and fifty minutes West, five chains and ninety nine links to a stone corner to lot no. 2 thence by the same South twenty seven Degrees East Eight chains and sixty five links to a stone corner to lot no. 2 in SAMUEL SHUTES line thence by said SHUTES land North sixty two degrees and thirty minutes East six chains to the place of beginning, containing five acres and one rood of land which said lot no. 1 is allotted as the share and proportion of the said REBECCA VENABLE in the first mentioned tract or piece of land as by reference to the map hereunto appended will more plainly appear.
N.. 2. Bounded as followings, BEGINNING at a stone standing in SAMUEL SHUTES line, and corner to lot no. 1, and runs thence by no. 1. North twenty seven degrees West, eight chains and sixty five links to a stone standing in Burlington road, thence along said road South fifty eight degrees and fifty minutes West, seven chains and eighty seven links to a stone corner to lot no. 3., thence by said lot no. e., south twenty seven degrees East, eight chains and thirteen links to a stone corner to lot no. 3 in SAMUEL SHUTES line, thence by said SHUTES land, north sixty two degrees and thirty minutes East, seven chains and eighty five links to the place of (looks like, Byinniry) containing six acres and two roods of land, which said lot or piece of land is called no. 1. and is allotted unto her the said MIRIAM LIPPINCOTT as the share and proportion of her the said MIRIAM LIPPINCOTT in the aforesaid piece or tract of woodland as by reference to the maps hereunto appended will appear -
No. 2. Bounded as follows BEGINNING at a stone corner to lot no. 1. in the line of the said ROBERTS's land and runs thence by the same North seventy eight degrees and forty five minutes West, two chains and sixty four links to a stone in said ROBERTS's line, and corner to lot no. 3. thence by no. 3. South thirty five degrees and twenty minutes, West nine chains and sixty three links to a stone corner to lot no. 3. in the line of said (first name difficult looks like ELEANOR?) MATTACKS land, thence by the same South fifty two degrees East two chains and thirty eight links to a stone in said line, and corner to lot no. 1., thence by the same, North thirty five degrees and twenty minutes East ten chains and seventy five links to the place of Beginning, containing two acres two roods and fourteen perches of land called woodland, which said lot called no. 2. is allotted to her the said CATHARINE BEAGARY wife of the said EMANUEL BEAGARY as her share and(?) of the (unable to read - fold in paper)

Bounded as follows BEGINNING at a stone corner to lot no. 2. in the line of said ROBERTS's land, and runs thence by the same North seventy Eight degrees and forty five minutes West three chains and two links to a stone corner to CHAS FISHS land, thence by the same South thirty five degrees and twenty minutes West eight chains and twenty six links to a stone corner to said FISH in the line of ELEANOR? MATTACKS land thence by the same South fifty two degrees East
Two chains and seventy nine links to a stone (?) to lot no. 2. thence by the same North thirty five degrees and twenty minutes, East, nine chains and sixty three links to the place of Beginning containing two acres and two roods of land called woodland, which said lot called no. 3. is allotted to her the said REBECCA VENABLE as her share and proportion of the aforesaid lot or tract of woodland, as by reference to the map hereunto amended will appear. Which partition and division of the two aforesaid tracts or parcels of land, into the foregoing, several lots, and divisions, (looks like agreeably) to the several foregoing boundaries of the same, and the partition lines between the same, we do for our selves which said lot no. 2. is allotted to the said CATHARINE BEAGARY wife of the said EMANUEL BEAGARY as her share and proportion of the first mentioned tract or piece of land as by reference to the map hereunto appended will more plainly appear.
No. 3. Recorded as follows. BEGINNING at a stone standing in said SAMUEL SHUTES line, and corner to lot no. 2. and runs thence by said no. 2. North twenty seven degrees West eight chains and thirteen links to a stone, corner to lot no. 2. in the Burlington road thence along the same south fifty eight degrees and fifty minutes West, eleven chains and sixty four links to a stone in said road corner to SAMUEL SHUTES line, thence by the same South twenty seven degrees East, seven chains and forty links to a stone corner to said SHUTE, thence still by the same North sixty two degrees, and thirty minutes, East, eleven chains and sixty links to the place of Beginning, containing nine (?) of (?) which said lot no. 3. is allotted to her the said MARIAM LIPPINCOTT wife of the said JOSIAH LIPPINCOTT as her share and proportion of the first, mentioned tract or piece of and by reference (sentence illegible - but dealing with map)

STOKES's land, and run thence by said ROBERTS land North seventy eight degrees and forty five minutes West, two chins and eighteen links to a stake in said ROBERTS line, and corner to lot no. 2. thence by said lot no. 2 South thirty five degrees and twenty minutes West, ten chains and seventy five links to a stone, corner to lot no. 2. in the line of ELEANOR? MATTACKS land, thence by the same south fifty
Two degrees East, one chain and ninety seven links, to a stone in said line, and corner to DOCTOR JOHN N.
