According to James Rollin Sloniker's book, A History of the Genealogy of the Slonaker Descendants in America, a John Slonecker (b. Feb 5, 1822 in PA, d. apr 22, 1907 Tamora, Neb) lived in Nebraska. He had a son named William (b. Sept 5, 1860 Bushnell, IL) and married Jan 24, 1884 to Mary Ellen Miner (b. Aug 10, 1860 MN). Their eldest child, Howard Crandle Slonecker was born in Tamora, Nebr Dec 26, 1887. These Slonecker were probably the witnesses to the marriage you mention being of approximately the right age. I have no record of intermarriage between the Easley/Marshall/Slonecker families.
