Indiana shooting death of Robert H. SLUSHER (1933-1969)
Robert H. SLUSHER was a son of Wiley SLUSHER (1904-1978) & Eleanor Jane SMITH (b ?) - Robert born 4 Feb 1933 in ? - d 5 Nov 1969.

Tavern Shooting
Claims One Life
A tavern shooting Tuesday night has claimed the life
of one victim and left another in poor condidion.
Robert H. Slusher, 35, of 1503 Sycamore Ave., died at
1:05 a.m. yeaterday in St. Joseph's Hospital. He was shot
in the back, right leg and left wrist.
Stanley A. Tindall, 37, of 815
Walnut St., suffered wounds to
the neck and left leg. He was
listed in poor condition last night
at Lutheran Hospital.
The men were shot about 9:40
p.m. Tuesday at Falls Tap, 2012
Broadway, during an argument
and fistfight with the owner,
Sylvester P. Enderle, 53, of 2019
Brookside St.
Police said that after Enderle
was knocked down several times
by the pair, he got two .25 cali-
ber pistols and began shooting.
Enderle is being held under
#25,000 bond on a prelimininary
charge of aggravated assault and
battery.
Slusher was a driver for the
Kenosha Auto Transport Co. and
was a member of Teamsters
Local 414. He served in the Army
seven years.
Surviving are his wife Mary;
a son, James Edward; two step-
sons, Stephen Vroom, in the
Army, and Marbin Vroom, Fort
Wayne; two stepdaughters, Miss
Betty Vroom, Monticello, and
Miss Sharon Vroom, Fort Wayne;
his father, Wiley Slusher, Fort
Wayne; his mother, Mrs. Elea-
nor Jane Smith, Ossian; a broth-
er, Carl, Fort Wayne; two sis-
ters, Mrs. Shirley Koch and Mrs.
Verna Fahlsing, Fort Wayne;
and a grandmother, Mrs. Burl
Baring, Van Wert, Ohio.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday in Tom Mungovan Fu-
beral Home, the Rev. Thomas
Isborne officiating. Burial will
be in Lindenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
Home after 7 p.m. today.
