ann boleyn and smeeton
in 1536 Ann Boleyn was tried for treason for adultery with 4 men one was named Smeeton. Even though
this was a set up by King Henry VIII and his court, it is none the less recorded in the records.
It is written in a book which is held at Hever Castle in Kent. So as you can see the name Smeeton goes
back at least 500 years. Hope you enjoy this information.
