I have recently been to the City of Westminster Archives to sort out a problem with the descendants of William and Ann Smeeton - an Ann Frances Smeeton who does not appear in the IGI (the St Martin in the Fields parish register pages are not very clear). George Smeeton born 21st June 1751 and baptised 27th June 1751 married Mary Burn on 2nd January 1774. They had 4 children, Honor Bray baptised 6th November 1774, Ann Frances born 10th May 1776 and baptised 10th June 1776, Alice baptised 21st March 1779 and George baptised 3rd December 1780. George married Mary Baker on 17th March 1805. Their 2 children were George Burn Smeeton, baptised 25th April 1813, and Honor Burn Smeeton, baptised 25th July 1815. The only child of George Smeeton and Mary Burn I have confirmed in the parish register is Ann Frances. All the other dates are from the IGI.

If you are interested in more information from St Martin in the Fields I will probably be going there again on behalf of another Smeeton descendant living in Perth, Australia. Please contact me directly - I do not intend to survive beyond the free trial of this site, since I belong to a number of others.
