it's me you long related cousin Jodie.
I thought I would look here too, myself.
Did you read any of the posts'?
There is a Smiddy who was a Rev that oversaw a wedding.

I'm sure you know that we were in the Montgomery, Va in the 1700's.
So who is this Ben Smiddy, I wonder that Betty has found.
There is a beer in Scottland named Smiddy did you know that?
How odd eh?
I hope one day we will come across how our long lost immigrant came to the New World.
I was hoping to find some manifest of this mans travels somewhere.
I will let you know how the reunion goes.
