Dear Michael,
Many thanks for the great history. This family history is one of the many things I have promised to research for my kids when I retire (hopefully next year)and get a little time. I would be most grateful for any information or documents you can send without too much troubleon your part.
Granddad had a checquered career in his youth . I believe he was orphaned and was in some sort of institution for orphans run by the drapers guild. He made a living as a boy diving for pennies at some sort of a seaside resort sideshow and was still an excellent diver in his late sixties.
He and Grandma Emma who had been a barmaid came to Australia on a ship called the Themistocles. He resided in Brisbane and had two children my Dad William Frank and my Aunt Dorothy .I will get together some more info about us and send to you soon.
Best regards, Marshall.
