1870 polk county ark.
byars, daniel w. 33 ala.
amanda 30 ark.
burton c. 11 ark.
mary a. 9 ark.
nancy 4 ark.
henry c. 5/12 ark.
there was an entry for a william smoot in the 1860 census:
1860 sebastin county, ark.
smoot, william 1831 ark.
amanda 1839 ark.
elijah b. 1855 ark.
don't know if this is your family or not. do you have any info. on daniel and amanda's other kids? the reason i'm asking there is a family in 1880 louisania that has a tandy and amanda with six kids : nannie a., henry clay, d___ clinton, robert dale, walter d., william stewart. robert and walter are twins born in texas. let me know susan
