From the Herald:
The Hannis Distillery starts up Monday, after having undergone through repairs and been enlarged and improved.
John Smoot, a German, seven weeks in this country, with a family in Germany, had one leg broken and the other crushed so badly that it had to be amputated, by the cars Thursday morning at the B. & O. depot in this place. While getting out of the way of one engine he was struck by No 525.
