Hello Ralph,The Snead's could have some Indian Blood, but none that I'm aware of. The name Theodosia does not ring a bell with me, but the fact the another Fly-Snead marriage took place, mine in Southern Illinois ( Saline Co.) and where did Theodosia and Lorenzo come from or lived? Seems like there is some connection. I have no papers stating that my Sarah has Indian blood only her daughter Martha Clementine Snead told her children that she was 1/4 Indian. Also, I have pictures of her (Martha C. Snead) and her children and it is pretty obvious to me that there is Indian Blood running in their veins. I, Gloria Baran Gt.Granddaughter of Martha C. Snead sit here with Black hair on my head and brown eyes ( just like my dad) my sister has brown hair but has light brown skin, my brother has blond hair and blue eyes ( like my mother ) . There is no doubt in my mind that I have Indian Blood. Cousin Jim Fly doesn't believe it's coming off my Fly branch. If that is true and I have no reason to doubt him, then my William Boykin Fly (b.1811 nc or va) married Martha Jones about 1833married a full-blooded Indian. It's interesting that James W. Snead's first wife's last name was Jones and his mother-in-law to bemaiden's name was Jones. Oh , there is a connection but I don't know how. Every document I get, Martha Jones Fly will not put down any info. of her Indian Blood. But, I keep searching and one day I hope to find some proof. I live in Northern Illiniois (McHenry) and my parents live in Southern Illinois I'm hoping to visit my parents over Thanksgiving and I'm going to try to find William Boykin Fly's grave. It is suppose to be near Harrisburg Lake. I heard when they built the lake they were going to move the grave but a relative said no. I have been to Harrisburg lake and it's going to be a tough job to find that grave. Well, this is probably more than you wanted to hear. But, I thank you for posting and I will keep Theodosia and Lorenzo in mind. Let me add this James Snead's sisters: 1. Emman J. Snead b.ca.1832 Tenn. 2. Mary C. Snead b.ca.1838 Tenn.1/2 brothers: 1. John A. Snead b.ca 1843,Tenn. 2.Edward H.Snead b. ca.1845, Tenn. 3. Charles H. Snead b.ca. 1849 Tenn. Well I'll close now. Sincerely, Gloria Baran
