1850 Census, Jasper Co, GA shows:
Green, William, Male, Age 73, born GA
Sarah, Female, Age 72
Rebecca, Female, Age 25
Sarena, Female, Age 24
James, Male, Age 23

This would put William born ca 1777 and Sarah ca 1778. It is believed that this was Sarah Sneed.

His father, William Green was born April 28, 1756 in Stafford Co, VA and married Elizabeth Tucker in 1776. They had a son born, William 1777, George, born ca 1786 and Margaret, born 24 Dec 1790. others unknown.

William Green, (1756) moved to Halifax Co, NC with his father in 1766, then in 1773 to Wilkes Co, GA. He served in the Revolutionary War, having moved to Richmond Co, GA and was immediately drafted. At age 40 he acquired an education and taught school and was ordained in the 1790's by Greenwood Baptist Church and later served as their pastor 1798-1805.
