Have become interested in James C. Snider of Camden Co.,Missouri and Collin Co., Texas. Believe he married Sarah A. Johnston (?) about 1849 in Miller or Camden County, MO. Their children appear to have been Mariah (1851-1854 Roach Cemetery, Camden Co.), John N. (abt 1853 - bef 1880 Collin Co., TX), James P. (md. Arizona), William T., Green C., Robert Lawson (Reverend)(md.Louella Sabrina Owens) of Stephenville Erath Co., TX, and Albert L. (md. Etta).
In 1850 James and Sarah are listed with Emanuel H. Wilcox and wife Mary(my line) and son George (6 months) in Camden Co., MO.
In 1860 an apparent brother, Newton J. Snider (24) is with James and family in Linn Creek, Camden Co., MO.
By 1880 James C. and Sarah along with youngest 3 sons were in Precinct 7, Collin Co., TX.
Some of the younger Snider's moved to Marietta, OK.
