Lucy Snouffer was born at Napoleon, Lafayette County, Missouri on April 3, 1864 and passed away in Denison, Crawford County, Iowa on Sunday, February 25, at 1:15AM. She attained the age of 75 years, 10 months and 22 days. She was one of nine children, and the third daughter of William Henry and Sarah Snouffer. Her parents, four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

She came to Denison in 1901 and has since resided here.

She leaves to mourn her loss a sister, Mrs. Mary Laub of Denison, and a brother, James, also of Denison.

Miss Snouffer was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of this city and until failing health overtook her, was a regular attendant of the worship services. She was active in the ladies Aid Society and took a keen interest in the Missionary Society of the Church.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock at the Bartcher Funeral Home, with the Reverend J. G. Leitch in charge. Interment was made in the Oakland Cemetery.
