I am trying to find out the maiden name of the mother of Mary Ann Enos b. ca 1824, the daughter of George Enos 1783-1862 and Catharine? 1785-1866. Mary Ann Enos married Michael Snyder, who was supposedly a minister, but I don't know of which congregation. They lived in Somerset County, PA. The Laurel Messenger records that a John Newton Snyder was born to them on Aug. 20, 1852. They had at least 2 other children born prior to John. The names listed were Sabina Catharine Snyder and Mary Ellen Snyder. George and Catharine are buried in the New centerville Cemetery in Somerset County, PA. I am also seeking the maiden name of George's mother- possibly an Ann or Anna Catharine? I don't believe it was Ann Guin due to difference in ages. Ann Guin was born in 1738 and supposedly married a George Ennis in 1766 in Philadelphia. I believe George's father died in 1818 in Sopmerset Co. The family moved from Northampton County prior to 1800.Mary Ann Enos Snyder's sister, Catharine married Samuel Bouscher, and her brother, Jonathan Enos married Mary keepers in Connellsville, PA. If anyone can help me with this family, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
