I was very glad to get your email and know that you are still "investigating" what information you can locate.
I have been gone for the past month, so have not had a chance to do any research since I emailed you, but I will certainly be looking forward to learning whatever you are able to find out.
I have always thought that my Snyder line was German as my grandparents always told me that the family was from Germany, but I was too young to be much interested back then!!
My grandmother never talked much about her family and I later found out that her father was killed in a gun fight and she was raised by her grandparents, so don't know how much she knew. I am also at a standstill on the Snyder family and have recently learned that the Snyders I had thought were my family line have turned out to be another Snyder line--------so, back to the "drawing board".
