Kenneth: Thanks for responding...

The Henry SNYDER I'm looking for is possibly my ggg-grandfather. If so, Henry is the father of Thomas SNYDER b. 1805-1806. Fuzzy family records mention that Thomas' father Henry was born in Northampton Co., PA. I found a Henry SNYDER in the 1820 and 1830 census for Allen Twp, Northhampton Co., PA with age >45 in 1820 and age 50-60 in 1830. These two ages put his birth year in the range 1770-1775.

But was he the father of Thomas SNYDER b. 1805-1806? If he was, then he should have claimed at least one son of age 10-16 in the 1820 census for Northhampton Co. I found several Henry SNYDERs, but only one Henry SNYDER with a son age 10-16 in 1820 in Northampton Co.

So, census data is supporting the idea that Thomas SNYDER's father was Henry SNYDER of Northampton Co., PA but does not prove it.

Does any of this information match any of your records?

Thanks - Jon
