I think I might have cracked a code and maybe one of you can help confirm it.
For years I have been looking for Ellen Snyder's family. She was born in 1835 her death certificate lists her father as being J. Theo from York State. Ellen married Henry Blair from New York and Died in Minnesota.
What I assumed was J. Theodore in New York is a dead end. (I've spend 15 yrs. looking there and nothing).
Then I found a 1850 census of a Ellen Snyder the same age in Union, PA with the father of Jacob born 1790. Once I found that I found a bunch of information about Theobald's and Dewalt's. Many of them are being said as born in York, Pa.
Does anyone know if Jacob Theobald Snyder's Ellen is the same as Ellen Snyder Blair?
