DeWitt C. Snyder b. July 25th, 1820. His 1st wife was Mary S. Smith born in Livonia, Livingston Co.,NY. They were married June 19th, 1847, she died May 12th, 1857. His 2nd wife was Calista Croswell born in Springwater,Livingston Co., NY. They were married June 5th, 1859. Six children:
1.Scott W. Snyder
2.George H. Snyder
3.Louise Snyder

5.[not named]
6.[not named]
His parents were Benjamin Snyder who settled in Livingston Co., NY March 10th, 1817 and Darnida Cole, daughter of Gen. Cole of Revolutionary Fame.
