John Snyder, son of George and Elizabeth Snyder, was born in Wellesley, Waterloo Co., Canada, March 29th, 1849. He learned the manufacture of woolen goods, and worked at his trade until 1868, since which time he has been a farmer. March 10th, 1874, he married MARY WELKER, daughter of Barnard and Margaret Welker, of Bennington, Wyoming Co.,NY, and during the same spring located on the farm where he now lives.
