I am trying to find the parents of one of my great-great grandfathers, George W. Snyder (Snider). He was married to Amanda Smith and they had Tom, Kayler "K.C." (my great grandfather), Lucy Ann, and Jenny (may be Julie). The only place George and his family are found is on the 1880 Hamilton Co. Tennessee Census. He was 45 then so that puts his dob around 1835. The only other piece of information I have is from a widows' pension application. This, however, tells me nothing of his parents.
He was married to Amanda (Manda) February 10, 1867. I cannot find one piece of information concerning his parents. He may be on previous census' as there are some George's, but I would not be able to figure out which one it is because I do not know any of his siblings names or the names of his parents.
