Hi guys,
I found your messages about Solaris from Genova.
My great-grandmother was Maria Luigia Solari, born 1863 in Castelnuovo Scrivia (abt. 60 km from Genova). Her parents were Delfino Lorenzo Solari and Maddalena Tibaldi. She emigrated 1881 to Argentina. I have her ancestors tree till about 1770.
I was in Castelnuovo Scrivia last year and was able to find some living relatives there. They told me that a lot of Solaris emigrated to Argentina and USA during the last 20 years of the 19. century. Some of them went back to Italy, some of them stayed in the new countries.
If you think there could be some connections between our families (I have a list with some cousins of Luigia; I'll check it today at home) please let me know. I'm glad to share information with you.
