Do your records go back to France? If not, go to familysearch.com for Romain and Sanscrainte families. Also there is the "Genealogies ofFrench Families of Detroit River Region 1701 - 1911 - Vol. II, " by Father Christian Denissen, located Burton Historical Association of Detroit.
My Michigan Soncrants are as follows from JB Sanscrainte and M. Solo: Francis Romain dit Sanscrainte b. Nov. 11, 1786 married Mary Louisa Bourdeau August 3, 1814; Francis Sanscrainte, b. Nov. 3, 1814 married Clara Gagnon, Feb. 14, 1838; Francis X. Sanscrainte, b. June 23, 1840 married Catherine Nadeau, June 18, 1868; George Soncrant b. Sept 19, 1874 married Lucy LaFountain, c. 1898 Monroe; Betty M. Soncrant b. Jan. 13, 1905 married John J. Dowling, Detroit, June 1924.
