Interested in exchanging info, especially with Sontags of Buffalo, NY. Our Philip Sontag came to Buffalo in the 1850's from Mettendorf, Prussia (near Luxembourg.) He was married twice. With his first wife, Caroline, he had 3 sons-- Frank, Henry, and Matthias. (Frank's family moved to PA.) Henry married Mary J. Ball and had 8 children-- Howard, Loretta, Arthur, Edwin, Franklin, Mary, Florence, and Helen. Arthur was my husband's grandfather.
With his 2nd wife, Frances, Philip's children were Mary, Francisca (Francis?), Ann, and John. I think Ann Sontag married Peter Tures. Looking forward to hearing from you. (Some of this information comes from http://members.aol.com/pubdog/index.htm) Thanks, Mary
