Mayday - information on Fr. Gregory Benny Sontag

I have been researching on the life of Fr. Gregory Benny Sontag since 1990. He was a jesuit missionary who served in Belize, Central America, from 1942-1961. He was murdered in the rectory in Benque Viejo, Belize, on the 17th January, 1961.

I have information on his life in Belize. Apart from that I only know he was born in Mankato, Minnesota around 1905. At the time of his death, there seemed to be no close relative alive.

I am interested in finding more about Fr. Sontag - his early life, his family (parents, siblings) and whatever else may help.

Any info. will be more that welcome.

David Ruiz
