I have just started researching the Sontag's (or Sonntag's).

My Great Great Grandmother is Maria (Mary) Helene Sonntag born 1821 in
Lommersum, Germany.
She married Gottfried Peil born 7/1809 in Lommersum too. I have no evidence
that they ever came to America.

I have information that Maria's parents were John Sontag and Anna ?.
She may also had 4 younger brothers:
Heinrich J. b: 7/30/1826 in Gross-Bellsen, Rhine, Germany. He died 7/29/1904
in Mankato, Blue Earth Co, MN;
Englebert J. b: 8/28/1829 in Gross-Bellsen, Rhine, Germany. d: 12/27/1895 in
Mankato, Blue Earth Co, MN;
Matthias J. b: 5/22/1832 in Gross-Bellsen, Rhine, Germany, d: 6/24/1913
Eagle Butte, SD
Jacob J. b: 1837 in Gross-Bellsen, Rhine, Germany. , d: 1/24/1898 in
Mankato, Blue Earth Co, MN.

I have a lot of information on Maria and Gottfried's descendants.

I am requesting information on her ancestors, especially confirming her
parents and brothers are as listed above.

I grew up in Wisconsin but now live in Indiana. One of Gotfried & Maria
Peil's sons, Joseph, immigrated to Hewitt, Wisconsin in about 1900 - 1902.
