Carol--

I will gladly trade information with you. I agree that the best way would be by mail. My address is 256 Atlantic Street, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.

The website that I got the information on Joel and Joab's parents is no longer an active website. I have a hard copy of this information, however, and I will gladly mail a copy to you.

Most of the information that I have obtained from the internet concerns the family of Sara Van Tienhoven, the wife of Joost Sooy. Go to the Family Tree Maker website and under search type in Cornelis Van Tienhoven or Guillaume Vigne and you will find an unbelievable amount of information.

Our ancester, Cornelis Van Tienhoven, for instance, was the Attorney General and Sheriff for the New Netherlands colony.

Also, you can try conovergenealogy.com for the Conover website. There are mentioned several persons with the surname Sooy. however the last time I checked, I could not find My ancestor Lavinia listed.

Please do keep in touch.
