Arkansas Sorrels families
There seem to be quite a few Sorrels in Arkansas in the middle 1800's, and they seem to be from more than one family line. The William Sorrels (wife Amelia Ann Halbert) in Van Buren in 1850, the Joseph Sorrels living with them, and the Lewis Sorrels in Sebastian County all moved there from Greene or Taney Counties in Missouri. Are they at all related to the Sorrels families that moved over from Georgia and Mississippi? We think the Missouri Sorrels came originally from Haywood County, NC by way of Tennessee (possibly White County). And who is the Washington Sorrels in Haywood County in the 1820 federal census--he's there with a Joseph and a William Sorrels. I'm confused!
