I go down these roads often when the "experts" will only accept some sort of verified physical documentation.
Margaret Weldon Drake was my 5th g-grandmother. Their son, Samuel Drake South b. May 07, 1792 is the line I belong. Have been researching my heritage since the early 1980's and question just about everything I come across. Unless there are church records or family bibles, it is difficult to prove much of what has been published. Many of the Drake descendants did go to Kentucky along with the Souths'. There is substantial documentation on John South who lived at Boonesboro at the time of Daniel Boone.
Hope this helps. Always interested in anyone who can verify or disprove any information.
