I found and tried for years to follow up on a possible relationship, wills, and etc; on both Thomas Dyas and Peter Duncan to no avail.
!George South bought 60 acres on 27 February 1671/72 from Thomas Dias and sold the land to Peter Duncan in 1685.
!27 Feb 1671/2 Thomas Dyas of Rappahannock deed of gift unto George SOUTH of Nominy in Co. of Westmoreland deeded him 70a on small br. going to the main branch of Nomini in Westmoreland (Deeds & Patents 1665-1677,p.119). Sold the land to Peter Duncan in 1675 all his int. of this gift of land. Signed by George SOUTH, wit:Rob.BLETSOE & James BLINCOW.
!Peter Dunkins deeds him 140A on s/s of Nomini (same book p.262).
!15 May 1672 Nicholas Spencer Equ. of Westmoreland Co. sold a small part of his 1632A (1st surveyed for Thos Deal 1 Mar 1665) to George South. This is found in book, Northern Neck Land Grants 1694-1742, LA lib 975.52, R2g,Vol.1, pg.50.
!8 Dec 1675 Peter Dunken unto George SOUTH. All my interest of the whithin patten of land, only excepted one point of land belonging to this patten between Flood's Creeke and the marsh. signed Peter Dunken. Wit: Robert Bletsoe, and James Blincowe.
!8 Dec 1675,Westmoreland Co., VA, pg. 255-255a George SOUTH unto Peter DUNKIN. All my interest of this gift of land. (Thomas DYAS deed of gift to George SOUTH was recorded in follio 118). Signed by George SOUTH.
Do you have any additional information on a possible relationship or will or anything on Thomas Dyas?????
