I've been trying to find information on Benjamin South who married Mary Polly Searcy in April 1819 in Madison KY. I see alot of information on South's from Madison but have not been able to link Benjamin to any of them. Given that they were all in the same area about the same time I'm hoping there is a conncection somewhere. Contrary to alot of information on the internet, this is not the same Benjamin South from New Jersey that was married to Elizabeth Bennett and Mary Bennett. This Benjamin South and 2nd wife, Mary Bennett moved west to Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. I found these marriage records for Madison KY. In one Benjamin South was the bondsman. The other, the groom so he must be related to these people somehow. James D. South to Spicy Skinner, bond by Bejamin South, 11 Sep. 1825, Ret. date, 27 Sept. 1825. William South, FG & John Skinner, FB. Joseph McLott to Katherine South, bond by Samuel South, 20 Apr. 1789, Ret. date, 22 Apr. 1789. Thomas Manion to Nancy South, bond by Zachariah South, 12 Mar. 1793, Ret. date, 14 Mar. 1793 William South, bondsman 5 Sep. 1820 for marriage of John Skinner to Ann H. South, Ret. date, 9 Sept. 1820. William South, bond 10 Sept. 1819 for marriage of Benjamin South to Polly Searcy, Ret. date 23 Sep 1819. Thanks. Dianne Notify Administrator about this message?
