I do find Gen. John South's will dated Dec. 6, 1798 as bequeathing his farm in Madsion County, Ky, to his sons William and Benjamin but no mention of a wife. He was the grandfather of Jeremiah Weldon South.
The "Genealogical Notes on the Souths" book mentions (p. 100) that Benjamin South's estate inventory is in Bath Co. Will Book 1, Aug. 28, 1819.
