Regarding your post, I have the following:
John D South m. Spicy Skinner, son of William South* & Rebecca B Locke

Joseph Malott m. Mary Katherine South, dau of Thomas South* & Nancy Barnett

Thomas Manion m. Nancy South, dau of Thomas South* & Nancy Barnett

John Skinner m. Ann H. South, dau of William South* & Rebecca B Locke

Benjamin South to Polly Searcy, parents of Benjamin are unknown. However William South & Rebecca had a son named Benjamin b. abt 1799. Little is known of this Benjamin. Suspect wives are Artesemia M Dameron )may have been her name by a previous marriage) married to Benjamin Jun 13, 1850 in MO. This Benjamin may have been married to Jane Meeks Dec 07, 1835 in MO.

William South* above) was the nephew of Thomas South* (above)

Is it possible that Benjamin took Polly as his first wife?
