I have no idea if your information is accurate or not because I can't figure out what family you are researching. That was my reason for asking you about the 1880 DeKalb Co., AL census family.
You mentioned a family as "Wesley P. South b. 1846 with wife Helen and children Alice b. 1872, William A. b.July 1874 and died 1951 in Franklin Co., TN and Leonidas b. 1878. You said all children born in Tennessee."
The only family I found that came close to the names you mentioned is:
1880 DeKalb Co., AL-Beat 18
Wiley P. South-33-b.AL-parents b.AL
Adeline C.-wife-35-b.TN-parents b.TN
(This would be W.P. South that married Adeline Mathews on 27 Dec 1871 in Robertson Co., TN)
This family went on to Hopkins Co., KY. and Wiley P. South was dead by 1900 census. Wife Adeline Clay Mathews South died in 1914 in Hopkins Co., KY
This William A. South was born in Dec 1872 and was widowed by 1900 census. He was remarried by 1910 census and still in Hopkins Co., KY. His wife and children are in 1920 Williamson Co., IL-Herrin census and there is a death index listing for William Anderson South died 25 Aug 1919 Herrin, Williamson Co., IL
So this would not be the family that had a William A. South that died in 1951 in Franklin Co., TN.
I am a research volunteer and not related. All of my research is done using documented facts only.
The William South that died in 1951 Franklin Co., TN was William Anthony South who married Helen Mary Moore on 11 Jan 1904 in Coffee Co., TN.
