My paternal grandmother was a South. Her parents were Elijah Franklin South b. 1847 and Mary Frances Hankins. b. 1865. Elijah's father was Ezekiel Asbury South b. 1819 and Nancy Sarah Stewart b. 1828. Elijah's parents were probably Joseph South and Mary Box. If you have info on Joseph and Mary, I will apreciate hearing from you.

I grew up in Marion County, AL next to Fayette Co. where the above Souths lived and died. If you see a connection, I will be glad to send you copies by snail mail of what I have. Dortha
