John, what is your proof of information? (not tryint to be difficult, just curious) The paper I found in the Fayetter County Courthouse indicates Thomas M is the son of John and Elizabeth, unless there is another Thomas South out there about the same age. It specifically mentions "my son Thomas who lives in Missouri" and Thomas Drake is still in KY acting as attorney to the heirs "to convey the real estate." My sister has a copy of the paper, but I will get a transcription from her. And....Thomas Drake was born 1805 not 1815. He was 64 when he died in 1869 I have his obituary. Thomas Drake also spent some time in prison during the civil war as a civilian. There is so much misinformation floating around about these South's and everyone is so sure they are right. I am just trying to find facts, so that I can know who fits where. Jan
