Found in Morman recs in FRANCE while searching SOUTH a BOUTH. Yes "B". Also found in early VA recs for John BESOUTH (which could be John B SOUTH) & for a Robert BOUTH which most researchers are saying is BOOTH. I have felt all along that the 'heavy' BRITISH pronounciation of the time would never have been BOOTH anymore than house would have been pronounced hoose. The "ou" is simply different. I don't know how to help on these possible clues.
