Wow, someone else doing South's and wondering if they are actual earthlings or aliens dropped from the sky! I have South's, but only recent, Isaac South 1833 to 1908, married Margaret. They had 4 children, Elizabeth, Anna, Martha, and George.

Eliz was my GGGrandmother, she married Seymour Grover; Anna Mary married George Washer; Martha South married John Emery, and George...well I don't have anything.

Souths, Grovers, Pittengers and Hendershots married. Anna Elizabeth Grover married Isaac Schoonover on 6/28/1812. Anna Cristina Grover b 4/16/1793 married another Isaac Schoonover.

I understand the 1800 South's may have had some debt problems and ended up in debtor's jail.

Balesville Cem., Hampton Twp, Sussex Co. NJ has lots of Hendershots, Grover's, Schoonover, etc.

My page is a mess but check and hit the index button.
