Have a Weldon South who married Elizabeth Dunbar. Weldon was the son of Gen. John South and Margaret Weldon Drake. Dr. Edgar Erskine Hume's South papers indicate Weldon South fought in the War of 1812. Don't have a date of birth for this Weldon, his siblings were Sarah (my line) b. 1751, Mary b. 1754, Samuel b. 1768, William b. 1769, Benjamin b. ?, Elizabeth b. 1753 and John b. ?. Weldon may have been the youngest child in this family. I'm interested in extending the South, Weldon and Drake lines back.
