Mahlon South and Susanna Sams are probably my great great grandparents! I have not done much searching on this line yet but.... what do you have? I recently found a marriage of a Mahlon South and Susanna Sam in Rock Island County, Illinois in 1858 - just across the river from Iowa. Their son Edward Joseph Everett South is my great grandfather; born 1863 in Muscatine Iowa.
