I think your James South may be a part of my line. The only one I am sure about is Mary Frances (called Fannie). She was my great grandmother. I don't have any of her sibs or her parents. All I know is that she m Isaac Nolen Oct 22, 1882 in Fayette Co., AL. She and Isaac had 7 children and one of them was named Virginia. Others were Maggie, W.L., William, James, Monroe and Lewis. After Isaac's death, she supposedly married Jim Wright and they had my grandmother, Frances Adele. I have questions about whether they ever really married.
My Fannie is shown on 1900 census as head of household with her first 7 children.
She died in the mid 40s in Jefferson Co., AL and is buried at Sadler Cemetery in Bessemer, Jefferson Co., AL.
Is it possible that she is a part of your South family? Please reply.
