I too am doing South research. Here is what I have to share:
My Great Great Grandmother was Hannah Elizabeth or Elizabeth Hannah South (b12/1861). She married Seymour Grover in 1891. Elizabeth had two sisters, Anna Mary, and Martha, and one brother George Andrew. George didn't marry, Anna Mary married George K. Washer and Martha married John Emery. Elizabeth's mother was either Margaret Savacool ? or Margaret Wiley ? Her father was Isaas J. South, son of Joseph Gershome South Jr. Isaac's brothers were Hampton, James and Gershome. As I understand, the Sussex Co. Souths "didn't own much and what they did own they didn't own long." Gergshome's father was Joseph Gershome Sr. who I believe was a decendant of Bartholomew South. BS's other children were Anne, Aaron, David and Thomas. I do not have a spouse for BS, and I have not been able to verify my information. Please let me know if you can help, or if I have anything you'd like.
