Frank:

Surfing about and saw where you wondered who Hamilton Disston South is/was. The obit is for Hamilton D. Jr who died 5 April 1992 in Albany, NY, His parents were Hamilton D (#1) and Elizabeth Turnbull South. His family went from NJ to Clermont Co, OH and then back to Philadelphia (Tacony). PA.

Hamilton D (#1) had a sister Effie who married a Roney and by chance though a friend of my Dad's in Phillie he met Effie's son David Roney. They became fast friends. When my mother died Dave and Dorothy Roney were the first ones on the doorstep.

It is Hamilton D (#III) who was hobnobbing with the Kennedys and the like. Read some time ago in ther gossip section of the Baltimore that 'Hamilton South escorted Jackie Kennedy off the slopes at St Moritz' when she pooped out.

So now you know. Now you can sleep better. Ha!
