Hello Wenda

I have today come across your message and thought you might
be interested to know that I have in my possession a silver
christening mug which was passed down to me as the eldest
son which is inscribed as follows:

1st inscription "Presented to Thomas Denton South as a
token of affectionate love by his maternal grandfather
Captain Boyack, Royal Navy"

2nd inscription "Frederick South the gift of his father
Thomas Denton South on his 10th birthday July 19th 1898"

3rd inscription "John Denton South from his father Frederick
South 14th October 1917"

4th inscription "from John Denton South to his son Anthony
John 30th October 1943"

I am Anthony John South I have no sons so this christening
mug will pass to my daughter's son, should she have one.

I hope this is of interest to you.

Best wishes

John South, 3 Boulnois Avenue, Poole, Dorset, BH14 9NX
United Kingdom.
