Col. George Thom(p)son (1607-1691) was the brother of Maurice, Sir William & Maj. Robert, all born in Hertfordshire, Eng. (Maurice was associated with the East India Co. and became "one of the greatest merchants of his time.") Mary Frances Thompson, sister of the brothers named above, m. Capt. Wm. Tucker.

According to Norma Tucker's book: George's will mentioned "Grandchildren John South, Richard South, Elizabeth South, and George South." Tucker's book goes on to say: "A-daughter who married George South of Westmoreland Co., VA."
I don't know how she deduced George South of Westmoreland.
