James ,I dont have a lot of info.My ggrandfather Samuel K. Collins and his brother James Collins were in the 1st. East Tn. Mounted Infantry Co.K. Samuel served from Aug.1861 to the end of the war. James according to a pension request by his mother joined Aug. 1861 was killed in a training accident ~Dec. 13 1861. at London Ky. All the info. I have on the unit is what I have found on the internet. Let me know if interested in this unit. Sam
