I can't say that SPETH is interchangeable with SPAETH, but it probably could very well be. SPATH, I know I have seen used in place of SPAETH, when persons have dropped the German umlaut over the A.
Kirchheim is in the Baden-Wuerttemberg area in southern Germany. Bavaria would be more east of that area. I will keep your names in my files should I come across anything I will notify you. Thank you for your response.
