Lorene,

I have a Sigmund Spaeth in my research - married to Pauline G. Elsasser, daughter of Peter Emil Elsasser and Catharina Elsasser. Peter was born in Vaihingen, Wurttemburg, Germany. My g-g-grandfather Christian Gottlieb Elsasser was a brother of Peter. Another brother and a sister also migrated to Omaha at about the same time. I have traced Sigmund and Pauline from Omaha, to Falls City and finally to Colorado. I have a picture of Pauline, her mother, father and a sister from an Omaha World-Herald Newspaper article from 1913. Pauline's brother, Gottlieb, who died in 1880 is buried in Omaha's Prospect Hill Cemetery. There is quite an extended Elsasser family in the Omaha area to this day. Please get in touch with me.
