At the time of the 1840 US Census--- only heads of households were named.
Michael SPADE (male betw. 20-30) was most probably living in Jessamine, Clark county, Missouri with his wife (female betw. 20-30) and his young son (Elisha?) (male under 5).
More than likely the family moved from Indiana soon after the birth of Elisha.

This seems logical as the family was in Scotland County, just west of Clark County, MO., in 1850.
